Quality-focused, you work to grow student meal participation while also keeping costs under control - all while maintaining communication with both clients and employees.
With great attention to detail, you develop and manage budget expenditures, operational reports, time sheets, payroll matters, work schedules, and more.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent A solid understanding of the culinary arts 2
years of responsible experience as a chef, chef manager, production manager, or related food service experience A current SERV Safe certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire Ability to operate basic office equipment and software programs including email and MS Office programs such as Word and Excel Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance Preferred:
Post-secondary education in culinary arts or hospitality K-12 food service experience Experience working in rural villages, rural Alaska, or a similar setting Working conditions and physical requirements Weather:
Indoor/Outdoor (Occasional exposure to extreme weather) Noise level:
Moderate Office conditions:

School kitchen and cafeteria environment Physical requirements:
Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
