You help with cleaning, food prep, maintenance, stocking, and serving.
Working in the school kitchen, you prepare various food products.
You make sure that items are well-stocked, whether in serving lines, snack bars, or service machines.
Additionally, you help to cook vegetables, entrees, and meats as needed.
When you're not handling food, you can be found setting up tables, removing trash, sweeping floors, or cleaning the dining and storage areas.
At times, you help with large cleaning projects.
You find it rewarding to provide such a variety of services, which is why you're perfect for this role! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FOOD SERVICE ATTENDANT - KITCHEN WORKER Minimum Requirements Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent At least one (1) year of work experience or documented vocational training sufficient to demonstrate a knowledge of cleaning equipment, food preparation, and general cleaning processes or a suitability for this type of work Certain position(s) require a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.
